Why is this important?
It’s important to keep your pod clean for two reasons:

- To prevent food-borne illness.
No one wants to pick up their food from a dirty cubby, which is one reason it’s important to keep your pod clean. If your tenants or residents find their cubbies dirty when they come to pick up their food, they may not want to use the pod again.
Keeping your pod clean will also help prevent the spread of food-borne illnesses, which can occur if bacteria are allowed to grow inside the cubbies. While the cubbies are coated with an anti-microbial treatment, it is still possible for bacteria to grow in the cubbies, especially if they contain food residue or spillage from a previous delivery. Wiping down the cubbies on a regular basis (or after a spillage) with a general-purpose surface cleaner will help keep your users safe and happy.

- Set a recurring calendar reminder to clean your Pickup Pod once a week.
- Clean your pod more often if it receives more than 20 deliveries a day.
