What happens after a pickup is created?

How notifications work and how customers pick up

Here's what happens after you create a pickup:

  1. Notifications and pickup:
    1. If the pickup was created by selecting an order from the POS, the customer will get a text message telling them that their order is ready to pick up. The message will contain a hyperlink. When the customer arrives, they can open their cubby by tapping on the hyperlink.
    2. If the pickup was created using the customer's phone number, the customer will get a text message telling them that their order is ready to pick up. The message will contain a hyperlink. When the customer arrives, they can open their cubby by tapping on the hyperlink.
    3. If the pickup was created using the customer's name, no notification is sent. When the customer arrives, they can open their cubby by scanning the QR code on the front of the pod and selecting the cubby that has their name on it.
    4. If the pickup was created using a delivery order number, no notification is sent. When the delivery worker arrives, they can open their cubby by scanning the QR code on the front of the pod and selecting the cubby that has their delivery order number on it.
  2. If the customer or delivery worker needs help opening the cubby:
    1. Tap on the cubby with the customer's phone number, name, or delivery order number.
    2. Tap OPEN FOR CUSTOMER.
    3. Remove the order from the cubby and close the door.
    4. Tap DONE.
  3. If a cubby turns red, that means the pickup window has closed and the order should be removed from the cubby. To remove the order:
    1. Tap on the cubby.
    2. Tap OPEN CUBBY.
    3. Remove the order from the cubby and close the door.
    4. Tap DONE.
